NEWS:

Basketball:  Attention 7^th and 8^th grade boys interested in going out for boys basketball.  There will be an informational meeting to sign up for basketball today, December 15^th after school.  8^th graders will be in the North Gym (Gym 145) and 7^th graders will be in the Middle Gym (Gym 141). Coaches will share information about the upcoming season. Tryouts for both 7^th and 8^th  grade will be from December 19-21^st . If you are unable to make the meeting, 8^th graders should talk with Ms. Brooks/Mr. Sis and 7^th graders should talk with Mr. Thomas/Mr. Gatewood/Mr. Sis before December 15^th. We hope to see you there! 

8^th Graders going to Lincoln High and interested in auditioning for choir:  All students planning to audition should join the 2023-2024 LHS Choir Audition Google Classroom at cyzrg57.  In this classroom, you will find the audition form, Show Choir Handbook, and all audition materials.

Audition Dates

Monday, December 19^th, 2022

• All Day – Vocal Auditions for LHS students during scheduled class time
• 5pm-6:30pm – Middle School Vocal Auditions/Make-up School Vocal Auditions
• 6:45pm-9pm – Dance Auditions (High School & Middle School)

Audition Requirements

The audition will include the following elements.

• My Country ‘tis of Thee (Acapella)
• Audition song/dance

8^th Graders:  If you are interested in a Focus Program, please fill out this form using Jumpcode OSRA.

8^th Graders:  High School information is in Mrs. Reisdorff’s Google Classroom or use jumpcode:  BIBW

8th Graders: LPS Focus Programs Open House will be held on Thursday, January 5^th, 2023 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Lincoln Northeast High School.

8th Grade Families Save the Date:  High School Information Events – 2023 (All below events begin at 6:30 pm)

• Northwest: Monday, January 9th
• Southwest: Tuesday, January 10th
• East: Wednesday, January 11th
• Southeast: Tuesday, January 17th
• North Star: Wednesday, January 18th
• Standing Bear: Thursday, January 19th (at Moore Middle School)
• Lincoln High: Tuesday, January 24^th
• Northeast: Wednesday, January 25^th

Information events for the eight LPS high schools in January are an important component of the transition process. The events are designed to share information about the opportunities available at each school. 8th-grade students with their families should plan to attend. You can attend one or all 8 events. If your student is still unsure which HS they will attend we encourage you to attend multiple info nights.

Goodrich students and staff! Student Council is selling candy canes the week before break! Come buy a minty treat for only 25 cents at any of the grade level doors. We will be selling them from 3:00-3:15 December 19th-21st. Please make sure to stand in a single-file line and wait patiently!

Attention Students, Parents and Staff: The Goodrich Gear Store is open until January 13th, 2023. You can go to the Goodrich website (Lower righthand corner) and click on it. Look at the cool items we have. The site is setup up until January 13th, 2023. ONCE THE STORE CLOSES ON JANUARY 13TH, 2023 YOUR ORDER WILL BE SENT TO GOODRICH 10-14 DAYS LATER.
